(Too?) Quiet Nights: Diana Krall
…this disc is a work of art, and absolutely worthy of anyone’s collection. Ms. Krall is at the top of her game…mature, smooth – impeccable sense of timing and rhythm. She’s the Julie London for the new millennium. If you’re disassembling discs and making your own radio on your iPod or other device, there are many gems to play with – whether you’re looking for just the right track to keep the feeling going, or doing a “shuffle.” I do think that if you listen to the whole album in one sitting, you’re going to be sort of bored after a while – but hey, that’s just me, and you should buy the set somewhere where you get the two “bonus tracks.” You’ll want ‘em.
